| The Mathematics |
Shipping rental equipment across vast distances in Canada, requires some clever mathematics.
You the eager user want your lens within a reasonable time frame. I mean you can only drool for so long!
We the shipper want our lenses out and back in an equally reasonable time too.
The faster we get it to you and back again, the sooner another happy soul can rent it. |
| Time is everything |
| Time in transit is what makes the whole business work. However there's a fine line between speed and the price we'd like to rent you the lens for. Next day virtually anywhere in Canada is technically possible, and if that's what you need we can certainly accommodate you with an on the spot quote. That option is very expensive and not for everyone. |
| No ordinary lenses |
We rent very expensive and rare lenses in Canada. Using standard postal services that can take over 8 days one way simply does not work for our business model nor customer service.
We use XPresspost, UPS and FedEX Ground for their reliability, economy and vast network in Canada.
They allow us to ship literally to your door even in a small remote village.
These services allow us an average 2-3 day delivery service across Canada from our London, Ontario location.
There are limitations on deliveries to NT, NU & Yukon.
|
Packaging |
We ship all lenses in either military grade Pelican cases, or the original factory hard case.
They are virtually indestructable and are well padded.
We have not had one single lens damaged using this shipping method. |
| Sorry but we cannot deliver to any remote Air Stage location. |
Once your lens is shipped we will e-mail you a tracking code and link to the website of the carrier.
.... and that's all there is to it. All you have to do now is wait till that delicious piece of glass comes to your door! |
| Returning the equipment |
After you have finished taking hundreds of great photos with your rental gear, it's time to send it back.
We know it's often a sad farewell, if we could legally send you some booze to console you we would.
Simply package it back up in the box it arrived in and take it back to the carrier that delivered it.
There's a pre-paid shipping label inside, they'll do everything from there.
