| 1: DISCLAIMER. |
CANADA LENS RENTALS SHALL IN NO EVENT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHATSOEVER OF ANY KIND THAT YOU MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF OUR RENTAL SERVICES. YOU INDEMNIFY WITHOUT LIMITATION CANADA LENS RENTALS FROM ANY LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF ELECTRONICALLY STORED DATA, OR LOSS OF FINANCIAL PROFITS IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OUR RENTAL SERVICES. INCLUDING AND NOT LIMITED TO A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE EQUIPMENT WHILE IN YOUR POSSESSION. CANADA LENS RENTALS WILL MAKE EVERY REASONABLE EFFORT TO MAINTAIN ACCURATE RECORDS OF INVENTORY, PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF EQUIPMENT OFFERED FOR RENTAL. CANADA LENS RENTALS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE OR REMOVE EQUIPMENT AVAILABILITY AND / OR PRICING STRUCTURES WITHOUT NOTICE. |
| 2: RENTAL DURATION. |
The rental duration shall refer to the dates as agreed upon at time of payment. The equipment must be returned to Canada Lens Rentals or the shipping carrier's depot during AM Hours the following morning.
If this date falls on a public holiday, enjoy the extra day on us. |
| 3: SHIPPING. |
Shipping costs, type of service, or pick-up arrangements are as agreed upon at time of payment. Shipping costs by national carrier are quoted for a return trip from our London, Ontario location. We do not profit from shipping.
Our services are Canadian. We do not ship outside of Canada. Thanks eh! |
| 4: LATE - OH NO! |
If any of the carriers deliver the equipment to you later than we expected it to arrive, we will be happy to extend the appropriate additional time at no extra cost. Or if that won't work, lets chat and we will be glad to work things out.
If any of the carriers deliver equipment to you and you are not available to receive the package, the rental period will begin as was agreed upon at time of payment. If there's a serious problem then let us know, we are human too.
If you return any equipment to Canada Lens Rentals or designated carrier depot late, your credit card will be charged a daily rental fee for every day that the equipment is out of our inventory longer than we had agreed upon.
In the event our equipment is never returned.... but that won't happen right?
Our boss is a former Police Officer and private detective, so we'll leave that up to him! |
| 5: DAMAGE OR LOSS - WORST CASE SCENARIO. |
We hope it never happens, but if any Canada Lens Rental equipment is lost or damaged while in your possession
you are entirely responsible for the costs to repair or replace the items.
Canada Lens Rentals will charge the credit card number provided at time of payment for the full cost of repairs or replacement of the equipment. If you feel the equipment "failed" rather than was damaged, the diagnosis of the repair by Canon or Nikon will be binding. But we know you will take care of our equipment so hopefully this won't be an issue. Some of our high end equipment is valued at over $10,000 CAN. Please take your responsibility seriously. |
| 6: INSURANCE. |
At time of writing Canada Lens Rentals does not offer insurance coverage. The reason is simple, no Underwriter in Canada will cater to this industry. Many rental houses are "self insuring" their equipment. Basically a slush fund in the event of damage to equipment.
What we do recommend is that you contact your insurance agent and add the equipment to your house insurance for the number of days it will be in your possession. More often than not there is no additional charge for this service. Remember it is just a phonecall. Some of our equipment exceeds $10,000 CAN in value. If you need help in this matter please call us. We have an insurance expert on hand.

| 7: TAXES. |
| All equipment and services offered by Canada Lens Rentals are subject to HST. Rental equipment shipped to a Province that does not administer HST will not be charged HST. |
| 8: LIENS OR ENCUMBRANCES. |
| While any Canada Lens Rental equipment is in your possession you agree to keep the equipment free of any liens, taxes or duties. Canada Lens Rentals will charge the credit card number provided at time of payment for any financial encumbrances later discovered. |
| 9: LAST WORD - WHAT WE DON'T DO. |
We love you for we are photographers too. But there's a few things we cannot do.
We cannot ship any Canada Lens Rental equipment to remote air stations.
We do not accept any brand of pre-paid credit card.
We do not ship outside of Canada.
We do not accept cash, travellers cheques, money grams, Western Union or any other payment method other than a credit card that can be processed and verified via Paypal Inc.
We reserve the right to refuse any rental to any person should we be unable to verify any address provided to us. |
