| Please note: This lens is designed for a full frame body only and will produce an effective 24mm on a crop sensor.
Without a doubt we've had more fun with this lens than any other. An unassuming piece of extreme wide angle glass that has an angle of view approaching 180 degrees when used on a full frame body. We don't recommend using this lens on a crop body due to heavy vignetting.
When used in a vertical orientation it is possible to produce 360 degree hemispherical images. To do this properly a pano head is recommended on a good solid tripod.
If used horizontally, we have produced some interesting 200 degree + panoramas by stitching several images together in Adobe CS3. Simply cut off the ends and you solve the crazy line bending effects of such a tortuous piece of glass.
Regardless of what you point this thing at it's bound to create "oh wow" moments from your friends. We love it for the possibilities are truly endless. Chromatic Aberration at lower apertures is pretty severe in our opinion. There's a definite purple line around bright objects nearing the edge of the histogram. CS3 however can take care of most of it.
